JOB ANNOUNCEMENT

JOB:                           Box Office Manager                            

JOB TYPE:                Part-time Hourly

REPORTS TO:         Executive Director

JOB SUMMARY: The Box Office Manager oversees the overall day to day operations of the ticketing department from daily sales to scheduling volunteers for daytime and evening operations.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITES:

        Demonstrates excellent customer service skills, responds promptly to customer inquiries and requests, and trains all box office volunteers in customer service standards.

        Recruits, trains, schedules and supervises all box office volunteers, including ushers. Makes sure that all volunteers are fully trained in handling customer issues and explaining policies regarding ticket sales.

        Develops and maintains documentation and training materials on box office policies and procedures.

        Leads and oversees the sale of all advertising in individual and full season production programs and pre-recorded, preshow audio advertisements. 

        Works with the Executive Director to set advertising price structures and sales goals, and strives to meet or exceed goals each season. 

        Oversees the collection of art files from the clients and coordinates the creation of the program with the selected graphic designers and printers.  Makes sure program orders are placed in advance of production opening to ensure timely delivery.

        Work closely with the Executive Director on executing proper cash handling and cash control procedures.

        Reconciles any issues between ticket sales and the financial statements, including shortages and overages in cash drawers, and discrepancies between Primetix sales reports, MSR reports and the books.

        Oversees all aspects of theatre rentals including booking, contracting, and assisting the Technical Director with managing the use of the theatre by outside groups.

         Prepares a monthly Box Office Report for the Executive Director in advance of the monthly board meeting. 

        Maintains statistical information on each mainstage and Underground series production including attendance totals, average daily capacity, as well as average overall production capacity.

        Develops and maintains a system for recording and tracking complimentary tickets.

        Performs other duties as they arise or as assigned by the Executive Director.
